Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the appointment of former Liverpool goalkeeping coach Fabian Otte as part of a sweeping backroom shake-up under new head coach Thomas Frank.
Otte joined Liverpool only last summer but exits after a trophy-laden season that saw the Reds recapture defensive solidity, with his progressive, data-driven methods widely praised inside Anfield.
From Swivel Vision glasses to shot-map analytics, Otte brought a modern edge to goalkeeping — and it didn’t go unnoticed.
After an abrupt exit alongside fellow coach Claudio Taffarel on July 2, Otte was quickly linked with a move to Spurs.
And now, it’s official: the German joins as First-Team Goalkeeper Coach, with Tottenham hailing his recent stints at RB Leipzig and Liverpool in their announcement.
An excerpt from a Spurs statement read:
“We welcome Cameron Campbell as First Team Individual Development Coach and Fabian Otte as First Team Goalkeeper Coach – they arrive following spells at RB Leipzig and Liverpool respectively.”

For Spurs, this is no routine appointment.
He’s already brought in Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam, and Joe Newton from his old club, and now adds Otte as a key technical mind.
With stints at Burnley, Borussia Mönchengladbach, the USA national team, and Hoffenheim under his belt, Otte brings both pedigree and innovation.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have reappointed Xavi Valero to head their goalkeeper coaching team as they reset post-Klopp.
Otte’s one-season tenure may have been brief, but it was impactful enough to earn him a place in one of the Premier League’s most intriguing rebuilds.
